This Bonzo Dog was made by Chad Valley and is the 1920's. He is 13" tall. He is made in velvet. In 1912 George Studdy signed a contract with The Sketch to produce a weekly full-page drawing. Bonzo originally first appeared in several of Studdy’s sketches in 1922 in "The Sketch" magazine. His arms and legs are jointed. He has repairs to splits in his ankle seams. He is such a character and looks great with bears.
