This is a Large size 13" Bonzo Dog made by Chad Valley in the 1920'a. He is made in a velvet fabric and even has his original tongue. Bonzo the Dog is a fictional cartoon character first created in 1922 by British comic strip artist George Studdy. The pup quickly rose to popularity in the 1920s. He starred in one of the world’s first cartoons, became an inspiration for mass-marketed merchandise, and became a favorite among children and adults. His arms and legs are jointed and he has a split on one ankle by the seam and a repair to the other but this doesn't detract from him. A great example.
